Hi Dear Sir/Mad
I am new to Seimostruct.I am going to model a 40story RC core-wall to do NLTHA. We know that the Perform-3D uses fiber model, Along with the asumption that plane sections remain plane after loading. the shear-Flexture interaction cant be consider. The strain doesnt predict precisely. The rotaion is note precise.But the force-displacement has a good agreement with the tests.
I have seen the "SeismoStruct Verification Report For version 6"
It dont have the strain verification for wall I think.
please tell me how is the Seismostruct in that issues. Does it use only fiber models?

As discussed in many other posts (e.g. search this Forum for "shear" or "shear fibre" or "shear modelling"), flexure-shear-axial deformation interaction is currently not accounted for in the fibre elements implemented in SeismoStruct (there is still much research to do on this front). Possible workarounds are discussed in many posts already.

For what concerns prediction of strain history response, again, there are plenty of ongoing research efforts trying to overcome the problems of strain localisation (search this Forum for "localisation" or "integration sections", and read also the corresponding section of the Manual/Help System), but no definitive and work-for-all solutions have yet been found.
