i want to use a linke element at the end and start of a column( or a beam). should i define the linke local axes the same as its column( or beam) local axes?means the red axes and the green one has the same direction as the red and the green axes of column(or beam)
could u please help me to define the right one.(i want to define a simple 2D frame in x-z direction with linkes in conections)

The link local 1-1 axis is always defined as the direction from link nodes 1 and 2, which are originally coincident, to link node 3. Then the local 1-3 plane is defined by link node 4.

So, if a connection were made at the end of a beam, the beam local 1-1 and the link local 1-1 would be parallel. If a link were attached to a column, then the link and column local 1-1 axes would be parallel. The choice is really up to you. As long as you keep track of your link axes, you can control the behavior by defining the properties appropriately.

Best of luck amir_nayebe65.
