It will be useful if the user could define distributed-plasticity, infrm elements, but with "uniaxial sections" (i.e to define a standard constitutive law -response diagram- at each monitoring section -I.P) instead only with fiber sections.
Many times, this is quite efficient computationally and sufficient numerically (if there is no need to couple axial forces with bending moments, i.e in beams).
