I am trying to model a prestressed girder. I was woundering what is the best way to model the effect of tendons. My goal is to obtain high initial stiffness as well as brittle behavior of the girder.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried to simulate 20 tendons using the nlin_el link. I am using 5.24 mm (0.6 in) dia grade 270 (1860 MPa)strands. My required yield strength for these tendons is 5208 kN. Could you advise which value I need to assign for yield displacement and Ramberg-Osgood parameter?

We can only suggest you to experiment with different values and use the corresponding results to make final decisions and selections.
