Modeling Nonlinear Behavior of Reinforced Concrete

Hello,

I am going to perform a static push over analysis on reinforced concrete shear wall. I would like to model the nonlinear behavior of reinforced concrete and I am looking for the post-peak behavior of the concrete wall. Could you please advise if the Seismo-Struct is an appropriate software for this purpose?

Thank you

mary84,

It is likely that SeismoStruct will meet your needs based on the description of your project.

I would suggest you take a look at Verification Problem Ch4-RC-02.spf, which is included in the standard installation.

The example is nonlinear dynamic analysis of a 7-storey shear wall building.

Examination of the capabilities in this Verification Example - and in others as well - should give you a good idea of whether or not SeismoStruct will meet your needs.

Best of luck with your work mary84.

The response of huffte is, as usual, helpful and appropriate.

In any case, we can add that the short answer to your question is: "yes, SeismoStruct is certainly capable of modelling post-peak behaviour of a concrete wall".

Dear salar,

You my find some example models in the Verification Report folder and/or you may generate them using the Wizard facility.

hi huffte
would you please telling where can i find the verification datas of concrete frame on shake table or something like that.i want to model the simple frames by siesmostruct in nonlinear dynamic analysis for my thesis.

all the best

Salar,

I would suggest a search of PEER reports to see if you might find what you are looking for:

http://peer.berkeley.edu/publications/peer_reports.html

I did a search on "shake table" at the above site and came up with over 500 reports at PEER alone.

Best of luck with your thesis.

dear huffte
i saw this site before. this site have a Publications report.and in report,it has many graph.okey
but i mean the datas like .txt files to be model the Publications report.
do you have any datas of modeling in shake table test or something like that?
i'd be glad sending me some datas
