It depends on the model and the loading input that you employ.

It is obviously impossible to answer your question, since not only "very large" is an abstract concept, but also because there could be a myriad of reasons for a given model to be yielding large shear values.

As usual, the best thing is for you to use hand-calculations to estimate the maximum shear force that the ground-floor columns should be taking, and compare that with the results that you are obtaining in your model. If the shear forces in your models are much higher than the maximum shear forces that you estimated with hand-calculations, then there could indeed be something wrong in your model.
