Hello,
I am using SeismoMatch for spectral matching and I would like to use the results in my research. Could you please explain the exact formulas used to calculate the Average Misfit (%) and Maximum Misfit (%) shown in the "Accelerogram Matching Progress" window?
Understanding the computation method (e.g., over what period range and how the percent difference is defined) would be very helpful.
Thank you in advance!
How are Average Misfit and Max Misfit calculated in SeismoMatch?

Re: How are Average Misfit and Max Misfit calculated in SeismoMatch?
The maximum misfit is the maximum difference of the spectral values between the target spectrum and the response spectrum of the derived accelerogram inside the period range that has been specified by the user. The average misfit is the average of all the differences in the specified period range.
