hi
i am runing dynamic analysis using el centro and sagnay earthquakes and others. the matter is that when i run a eartquake rich in high frenquencies like sagnay the displacement i get are not good. My question is does seismostruct can rule the seismic accelerations rich in high frenquencies like sagnay
sagnay earthquake

Re: sagnay earthquake
Hi meftikal,
When running nonlinear time-history analysis, the most accurate response of the structure to a ground motion record is expected, including the contribution of all of its frequency content, regardless the program that you're using.
What do you mean when you say that displacements are no good? I assume that there may be other issues that are making you get unexpected results..
Cheers,
Ricardo

Re: sagnay earthquake
hi and thanks for your answer
when i run a dynamic nonlinear time history analysis whith sagnay acceleration the displacement i get are not smoothe. i think that it is due to the high frenquencies.
