HELLO,
My query is regarding the value of PGA. When candidate records are selected based on the magnitude and other parameters, the results show several earthquake events with their parameters, such as PGA, PGV, PGD, etc. Each earthquake event may have three components: longitudinal, transverse, and vertical. So my query is: what is the PGA value displayed on obtaining the candidate records? Is it the maximum of three directions? If not, could you please explain how to get it?
TIA
Meera Jacob

Re: PGA
As noted in the excellent Help system for SeismoSelect:
"The peak ground acceleration of the selected record component (RotD50 for both NGA databases, RotD100 or maximum horizontal component for the ESM 2.0 database)"
You can study the literature to discover how RotD50 and RotD100 are determined from two horizontal components. Best of luck.
