Hello,
I am reviewing the verification report and have one question on Chapter 4 --> Infilled frames (masonry infills) --> Example 3. In this example, four time-history curves in terms of displacements were applied to conduct a static analysis. I am wondering why the accelerogram was not applied directly and compare with experimental results through dynamic analysis. The experimental test was essentially a pseudo-dynamic test. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jaden

Re: Verification report - Infilled frames - Example 3
With the displacement loading we tried to reproduce as best as possible the loading conditions of the pseudo-dynamic test (which in fact is not a dynamic loading - strictly speaking, it is a displacement-based loading).
