Post by mangesh shendkar »

Hi, I have done the pushover analysis in seismostruct but can I use ATC , fema code. Accoding to that code can I get bilinearisation curve???WOULD YOU HELP ME ANYONE??

Hi mangesh shendkar. You should be able to plot displacement versus load and get a curve which will not be bilinear if you used inelastic frame elements. I suppose it could be very close to bilinear if you used plastic hinge inelastic elements. In either case, you could manually derive a bilinear curve from the results, requiring some judgment. There are rules in some codes for deriving bilinear curves from smooth curves.

No, American Regulations are not supported in the 2016 version. They will be supported in SeismoStruct 2017, though.

Unfeortunately, SeismoStruct 2017 is still under development. It will be published in 5-6 months.

The idealisation in SeismoStruct 2016 is done with the Eurocodes the Italian or the Greek Code. Unfortunately, FEMA or ASCE regulations are not corrently supported.
