Can someone please tell me the units of Fourier Amplitude when I use SeismoSignal??
I don't understand why after I changed the units of my accelerogram, the Fourier Amplitude and Power Spectrum don't change.
Help me please!!
Thank you

Re: Problem with units
Dear Rozana,
When we introduce a given acceleration time-history using different units, for instance g and m/s^2, we obtain:
- different results for the Fourier Amplitude (e.g. if we introduce the accelerogram in m/s^2, the Fourier Amplitude will be 9.81 times larger with respect to when the accelerogram is introduced in g)
- same results for the Power Spectra Amplitude, given that it is a ratio of acceleration values.
Please do refer to the Help System, for details on the equations used in SeismoSignal to compute the aforementioned parameters.
