Error in retrieving the class information

Post by humam2104 »

I've been this error, I'm using Seismostruct 2021 Release 1 Build 10 when opening the post-processor of any file.

Error in retrieving the class information (D:\My Documents\My Programs\SeismoPrograms_v2021\SeismoStruct\Main11-PostProcessor.pas, line 740)

uninstalling and reinstalling the program didn't help. Also, repairing it didn't work too!
(The file I'm trying to open is a seismostruct 2020 release 3 build 1 file)

Update: I've reran the analysis and the file worked properly. It seems that the issue only happens with older versions of files

Update #2: Opening the 2021 version of the file using v2020 causes the same error to happen on the v2020 edition

Dear human2104,

Due to the different structure of the output file from version to version we are not able to open the output/results file. Hence, you should run again the file with v2021.

Ok. I understand this, but the program should give the user an error message saying
"This analysis needs to be repeated because it was created using an earlier version of seismostruct"
instead of a weird error like that one

Dear human2104,

Of course it should show such a message. I have already informed the developers and they will correct it in future release.
