Hello everybody!
I am currently working on the assessment and retrofitting of an existing RC frame with Seismostruct. The idea is to retrofit using FRP. While I can strengthen my columns using this technique, I can't do it for the beams. The section that I am using for the beams is a T-section. How can I do it?
Thank you!

Unfortunately, there is no automatic modelling of FRP strengthening in beams in the current release of SeismoStruct. it will be added in subsequent releases of the program

Thank you so much for the reply.
Other than the "automatic modelling" there are no other option to design FRP retrofitting for beams? Do you have a recommendation of what should I do? Change the type of section maybe?
Thank you again.

Re: Retrofittig beams with FRP
Unfortunately, in beams you need to carry out hand calculations in order to estimate the additional capacity, due to the FRP wraps.
