calibration of stiffness and strength in infilled frame

Post by sm.emami »

Dear all,

I want to calibrate an masonry infilled RC frame in seismostruct. I have calculated the width and area of strut using Mainstone equation (recommended by ASCE41-06 and FEMA356). Moreover I calculated the material properties of infill and frame in laboratory.

Now, the stiffness and strength of the model in the Seismostruct is more those of in the tested specimen in laboratory. I am wondering if one can kindly help me and guide what parameter in the Seismosrtuct affect more the strength and stiffness of infilled frames.

It must be noted that the initial stiffness is rather good, but after that no stiffness degradation occurs.
Also I calibrated the bare frame and I think the problem is related to parameter of infill.

Best regards
