Regarding infill model

Post by mangesh30 »

Dear all,
I have modeled RC-infilled frame. In that, I have doubt while modeling infill because as per the study infill should not take moment & it will take axial load so is it automatically adopt in seismostruct?? or is there need to do anything other. In my case I have modelled infill through anticlockwise node pattern so is it correct?? in other software there is need to release moment. Please give me your valuable suggestions. I have sent model to support@seismosoft.com. please check it correct or not??

The infill elements are activated after the application of the initial loads, as is the case in real structures (i.e. they are constructed after the construction of the slabs). Indeed, the nodes should be introduced anticlockwise, and there is no reason to make any releases to the infill element, since the corrects DOFs are activated automatically.
