Sir I need to analyse 10 storey building by IDA method. But in academic license they are not allowing it. Analysis is restricted to 8 storey only. Sir is there any solution for this ? If there please inform me.

Dear khushbood,

The limitation you are referring to is Wizard's facility limitation and not the academic's version limitation. You are able to create model of up to 8 floors within the Wizard facility, but there is not such a limitation in the number of floors within SeismoStruct.

Dear khushbood,

If you want to use the Wizard facility, you may create the 8 storeys through the wizard facility and the upper two floors through SeismoStruct's main window or you may use the Building Modeller facility to model the whole structure.

There is a number of video available on Seismosoft's YouTube channel and Facebook page that might help you:

Sir, what is frequency of output?

Dear khushbood,

As it is written in SeismoStruct's User Manual: "If a frequency value equal to zero is adopted, then output is provided at all analysis steps where equilibrium has been reached, including those corresponding to step reduction levels. If a frequency value equal to unity is used instead, then step reduction level output is omitted. This is the default behaviour, since users are usually interested in obtaining results that are in correspondence with the initial number of increments/steps that have been defined in pre-processing. However, if the latter is not the case (e.g. the analysis loading has been split into a very large number of increments just to ease convergence), then a frequency value n larger than unity can be employed, with output being provided at every n equilibrated steps."
