Hi..I am a new user in seismostructure .I do masters degree .I design building for my thesis. So I use building modeller which in seismostructure. But after I designed my structure , Beams look irregular. Why it happened? Is it normal ? Or am I designing it wrong?

Beam
Re: Beam
Dear by kaman,
Please check the settings in the Frame Elements Modelling tab pf the SeismoStruct Building Modeller Settings. If you have the default options, then you have selected not to consider rigid ends in beams when the length of the beam rigid length is less than 0,2m. Please set a lower value or a value equal to zero in this field, and let me know if it worked?

Thanks a lot ..
I did it like in the first picture
. https://i.hizliresim.com/l9cpazh.jpg
And then ıt happed..Beams look regular

I think that is true design

Re: Beam
Hello, I have one more question. I use building modeller which in seismostructure for design floors. But ı have problems. After ı design it as picture1 (https://www.hizliresim.com/t24hdoo),Picture 2(https://www.hizliresim.com/8lojog5 )created. Why it happends?
Re: Beam
Dear by kaman,
As it is written in SeismoStruct's User Manual: Slabs are modelled in SeismoStruct as rigid diaphragms that connect the beams, columns and walls in their perimeter and as additional loads applied to the beams. Obviously, in the case of cantilevered slabs no rigid diaphragm is created and a slab is only considered as additional mass on the supporting beam; the additional mass account for the slabs' permanent and live loads.
