How can i create X strut [not X-braces] that cross between column?

Post by MEEPOOHKUNG »

I am undergraduate student doing my Thesis with this program and just happen to that i want to mimetic behavier in the masonry wall [and that behavior is 2-x-strut between column] if you have no idea what it's looks like just type ''inelastic infill panel element'' there is various of images about that theoretically behavior. .... adn yeah i just vaugely know that you need to subdivide your columns to 4 element and create the needed strut in the Sections mudule and in the Element conectivity module you just select the start and end nodes so that it's creating a strut for you. but i have no idea which one of them is what it is....so confusing. I am creating building via Modeller tool so most of them is automatically build for me and i dont know much how this program is work.

this is my work, may be you can figure it out for me :P > https://www.mediafire.com/file/ggb2l7oh ... น.spf/file

In v2022 you can add infill walls directly through the Building Modeller.
If instead you want to manually add the infills struts (we are not sure, but this seems what you are trying to do) a good reference is the following video, SeismoStruct How to create a SeismoStruct model:

You will generally find many resources and tips on our videos in our YouTube channel:
