Masonry Walls mid point appearing at node instead of base

Post by DanThomas »

Hi,
I am new to seismostruct and I am trying to model a simple one storey masonry building with space allowing for windows and doors. I have managed to add the required material, sections, element classes and placed my nodes by following various video tutorials and this seems to have worked but when I am using the element connectivity the mid point of my wall is at my node instead of the base as I had hoped. I am not sure if I have made a mistake somewhere or if this is how the software works? If someone could either explain how to fix this or explain why the models appear like ths that would great!
Thank you.

Dear DanThomas,

You may download the masonry models from the Sample models available in https://seismosoft.com/seismobuild-seis ... le-models/ to check how the masonry elements are assigned.
