Hi,
There are two instances an analysis stops early, one is the convergence issue, the other is the structure cannot sustain more loads. Could you please clarify if convergence issue involves any structure capacity factor? In other words, if I get the convergence error, does it mean I can always change the convergence criteria to fix it? Does a convergence difficult only indicates numerical instability, but irreverent to the structure capacity?
Thanks!

Not always. When the structure cannot sustain the applied loading, the forces are obviously cannot equilibrated and what you get is a diverging solution.
