Slab Opening

Post by Ralazem »

How can I create a slab opening for the core wall? I tried all options, (perimeter slab, automatic, etc) but i cant seem to make an opening where the core walls are.

You can do this in the Building Modeller by creating the edges of the hole with the slab edges functionality.
One prerequisite is that at least one edge has no be adjacent to a beam.

I tried to do it with the building modeler, the way you said, but it still didn't work. I had at least 3 edges adjacent to beams.

Dear Ralazem,

Do you mean that you are not able to assign a free edge or insert a slab by perimeter within the Building Modeller? If so, could you please send me your model and the floor's plan view at z.gronti@seismosoft.com in order to check it?

Dear Ralazem,

I took a quick look at your model and it seems to me that you have inserted the slab openings correctly. Why are you saying that the slabs are not assigned correctly?
