Node location for section

Post by hexa »

Hi,

How to determine the node location for section?

Is it at the centroid of the section?

Thanks

Example for box girder;

when try try to connect between box girder to the pier, i followed the coordinate as shown on right image. However, when I viewed the model, the node location is as shown on left side image. Is it possible to view the node location in the software?

The element is connected at the center of gravity of the section. The display of the (2) and (3) local axes in the Sections module is related to the input in that module only (e.g. definition of additional rebars).

Is it possible to 'carry over' the input to a different module somehow?
