Reinforcement in Composite Beam

Post by mel »

I’m trying to model a sub-assemblage of a steel column, steel-concrete composite beam. In the section tab the section type would be “cpis” however, I don’t see how the section allows for the influence of reinforcement in the slab. Is there a different way to model a composite beam which would account for the reinforcement?

Could you not perhaps define two different elements (one featuring an I section and the other an RC one) connected by a rigid lever arm that would represent the eccentricity of the slab with respect to the steel profile baricentre?..
