ASCE 41-17 and UBC 1997

Post by Krysren04 »

Good Day Everyone.

I am using seismobuild 2020 it supports ASCE 41-17 but my country still using UBC 1997 and I dont have any data in Sa.

I would like to ask if what Spectral Acceleration will I input on the Seismic Action

Spectral Acceleration

SXS 50% / 50Y

SXS 20% / 50Y

SXS 5% / 50Y

SXS 2% / 50Y

These are my Seismic Parameter based on UBC 1997

Soil Type = D
Ca = 0.4
Cv = 0.66

Hope to help me.

Thanks.

In the Seismic Action tab, you may select 'Other Spectral Shapes' and you may input there the spectral shape that suits you.

Hi there!

I am trying to define my own spectral curve on the Target Displacement tab. However, I can't seem to find the "Other Spectral Shapes" anywhere. I am using v2018 of seismostruct. Can anyone tell me specifically where to find this option?

SeismoStruct v2018 did not support user-defined spectra for the target displacement calculation.
You need to upgrade to v2021 for this feature.
