Re: Incremental Dynamic analysis
<t>Hi mattia86.<br/> <br/> In waht format is your text file? It needs to be one time value and one acceleration value per line. The "LF Column" is really the acceleration column when reading in an accelerogram. So, for example, the first few lines of one of my files are:<br/> <br/> Time [sec] Accele...

Re: create accelerograms
<r>Hi sarah. SeismoSpect will analyze existing accelerograms. SeismoMatch will modify existing accelerograms to match a target spectrum. So you could define your EC8 spectrum, acquire some real recorded records of ground motion, and modify them to match the EC8 spectrum. I don't believe you will be ...

Reinforced Concrete Cover
It is likely that situations requiring differnt values of cover for the various members will arise.
Would it be possible to make the concrete cover a section-specific parameter as opposed to a project-specific parameter, as currently exists?

Re: two questions
To change the concrete cover, select the following menu sequence:
Tools -> Project Settings
Then select the Elements tab and you will find a box for input of the cover to be used.

Re: Eccentric load
<t>Perhaps the best way would be to apply the axial force concentrically along with a moment about the appropriate axis. Depending upon the adjacent members framing into the column and the true point of application of the eccentric load, it may be necessary to add a joint near the to of the column t...

Re: pushover analysis
<t>I think you may have a problem with units. It appears from your material properties that units are set to:<br/> meters for length<br/> kN for force<br/> kPa for stress<br/> <br/> However, in your nodes, it appears that you were thinking in millimeters - you have input a geometry such that the len...

Re: pushover analysis
You might find it helpful to do a searh on 'fbd_inv' in the SeismoStruct Help system and on this forum as well. You will get several hits and some suggestions on possible causes of this error.
Best of luck.

Re: Data directory
Hi david. I've used SeismoSignal for some time and still have not found a way to do this. Perhaps this would be a good candidate to place in the enhancement request folder of the forum.

Re: Matched record
<t>Wahida, I'm not certain exactly what you are asking. But the general procedure to modify real accelerograms to match a target spectrum in SeismoMatch is:<br/> <br/> 1. Load the real accelerograms into SeismoMatch<br/> 2. Define the Target Spectrum<br/> 3. Set the desired matching parameters such ...

Re: how to save an matched accelero
<t>Hi wahida.<br/> <br/> Yes, you can do it. Here is the method I have used.<br/> <br/> One method is to save the matched accelerograms, but there seems to be some bugs there, I have had problems with it. Here is what you can do:<br/> <br/> 1. Perform the matching<br/> 2. Look at the matched acceler...
