Re: Lightly reinforced concrete walls
In my case I have solid r/c walls that resist also gravity loads, so they shouldn't be modelled as infills. My concern though is whether a long e.g. 6m wall should be modelled as a frame element. Would it be correct to model it as a "masonry-type" element instead? Or such elements are inappropriate ...

Viscous dampers
Hello. I would like to know whether the insertion of viscous dampers in SeismoBuild is in your schedule. It would be much appreciated if such elements could be inserted in an easy way alike it happens with base isolators.

Lightly reinforced concrete walls
Hello. I would like to ask what is the most proper way of modelling "lightly reinforced concrete walls" in SeismoStruct?
Is it through typical wall elements or it is more suitable to consider them as concrete infills? Thanks.

Beam ends with variable support conditions
Hello. I perform a nonlinear dynamic analysis for a precast concrete building (multistorey moment-resisting frame). One particularity of such buildings is that usually the beam connectivity with adjacent columns varies throughout construction process. More specifically beams are hinged while ...

Vertical component of seismic action
Hello
Is it possible to include the vertical component of seismic action in SeismoBuild and if yes, how?

Bizarre moment diagram in subdivided beam
Hi
I am working on a hinged r/c concrete frame, where I need to subdivide some of the beams in order to connect them to columns via diagonals.
After subdivided the beams (and prior to add the diagonals) I ran an D-T-H analysis and although there was not a convergence issue I noticed that the moment ...
