Hi Seismosoft,
Do you know the proper to model a spherical sliding bearing base isolator? I tried to model it on my own but I think there’s something wrong with the results for acceleration and displacement.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hyseresis Curve for Slip Shear
May I ask what is the most appropriate or reliable hysteresis curve for columns with base plate, bolts and grout to consider slip shear behavior? May we also know how to calibrate the parameters. Any comments or suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you.

Base Isolator
Hi Seismosoft, I tried to use a base isolator in my model (see images below), I noticed that the base isolator moves back and forth up until 20secs and afterwards they seem to move uni-directional (the isolator stretches), is this behavior acceptable or is there any problem with my paramaters? Any c...

Consideration of Pounding
Hi Seimosoft,
Does Seismostruct consider pounding effect? Because when I try to run my time history load my model stops at 20 seconds, does it mean that there is no need for link gap elements?
Any comment is appreciated. Thank you.

Non-Structural Elements
Hi Seismosoft, For non-structural elements with lightweight mass, what will be the appropriate link model to predict sliding displacement and overturn values? (See image below, those with green nodes are the non-structural elements in my model.) Any comments are welcomed. Thank you. https://i.imgur....

Non-Structural Elements
Hi Seismosoft,
Is it possible to model non-structural elements, i.e. pipe hangers, hospital beds, overhead watertanks, in order to know it's contribution to the amplification factor of acceleration?

Pounding Effect
Hello Seismosoft,
Is there any model I can use as reference for modelling gap links with pounding effect?
Any comments are welcomed.
Thanks and regards.

Base Isolator
Hello Seismosoft,
Is there any model/reference I can use related to spherical sliding bearing (NS-SSB)? I am trying to model this specific isolator and I was hoping if I can have any guidelines. Any comment is highly appreciated. Thank you and regards.

STRAIN OF TIES
Hi Seismosoft,
Is it possible to check the strain of column ties and beam stirrups? Any comment is highly appreciated. Thank you!
