hi please help
Is it necessary to consider leaning columns (with pinned connection) for p-delta effect?
why somebody use this method?
Many scholars only consider geometric nonlinear effects.

Re: seismic sequences
tank Tim Huff Perhaps your point is correct, but the view of other researchers is that the maximum response takes place at the most effective time, which is the maximum acceleration. in IDA analysis ,If I want to apply the whole time of the earthquake, it can not be more than seven points scale fact...

Re: seismic sequences
hi
i have a question
i want to do IDA analysis to obtain maximum response(such as peak drift,..) and the applied earthquake is San Fernando with 79.44 sec time duration, if i use the stage step time until 22 sec (peak of earthquake occur in 7 sec).
the seismic sequences is it true?

Re: seismic sequences
Hi , i have a question
If the earthquake time about 100s ,can we applied peak time(about 20s) ,for running IDA analysis?
(To take maximum inter story drift)

Re: Integer Overflow
Hi , I have same problem, integer overflow , for IDA ANALYSIS
10 IDA Analysis run ,but 2 Analysis has this problem
Why?
Is it bugs?

Re: pinned connection
tanks
for infrmFB (beams cant be moment releases without link element---pin--- if dont do this ,will be converge problem )
and for braces the connection must be define with pin element (because braces must be buckling) if use truss element for braces we cant see any buckling( this model like BRB)

pinned connection
hi , i need to define the pinned connection(beam to column connection & brace connection). i use link element (linear sys) for define pin connection ,is it true?
what kind of curve behavior must be use?(linear sys?)
for pin connection the stiffness ( m1,m2,m3 )must be close to zero?
please help me
