Material properties
Hello! I want to create a new material with my properties. So, by "Add General Material" i created a new material. Also i created my Sample Plot and put it in a new material. After i pressed OK. https://i.imgur.com/UONe1UH.jpg But when i open again the properties of my new material, i see ...

I changed some numbers in materials and now it work.sanya greek wrote: ↑17 Jun 2020, 12:40I did that but have the same result.seismosoft wrote: ↑16 Jun 2020, 11:21 Probably you need to decrease the load increment.

Diagonal struts
Hello!!! I want to create diagonal struts in my frame. I know, that in Seismostruct i can create infill panel with strut and shear curves. But i need something else. I calculated by KAN.EPE width of strut, failure strain and failure deformations. I need the struts work only for compressive without d...

Chord rotation capacity
Hello!!! I calculated chord rotation yielding and chord rotation capacity by hand. After i took some graduates works where students account chord rotation yielding and chord rotation capacity by hand and simulated it in Seismostruct. All together we have the same numbers in chord rotation yielding, ...

Re: Shear collapse
Sanya, all your points above are wrong. Furthermore, views like the one that you just expressed that what we are doing 'has not logic' is a strong expression that needs to be well justified. If you do not feel confident with the program, you can freely choose another structural analysis package, th...

Re: Shear collapse
It mostly depends on the reinforcement of the members. Note that usually in eixting buildings shear failures occur first. Seismosoft Support Ok. Shear collapse
Hello!!!
How its possible, that collapse due shear capacity in columns of ground floor are earlier than collapse by chord rotation?
I think that you forget to use VR,c for shear capacity before collapse by chord rotation?
Thank you!

Re: Shear capacity
Dear sanya greek, I apologise for my previous post. I though it was about SeismoBuild, where you are able to extract the analytical calculations of code-based checks. According to SeismoStruct's User manual: "Mean material values without safety or confidence factors are used in the automatic c...
