Re: Rigid Elastic element

hi my question still remains unsolved :?: .as i want to create rigid links, using weight=0 with E=2E+020.after selecting the element type as ,elastic frame element, and choosing my previously defined rigid link, the the EI and GJ grays out with large value for EA, showing -INF and the OK button is gray...

Rigid Elastic element

Hi 1- i want to model Rigid Links using weight=0 with E=2E+020(Modules of elasticity).i had done this before but i seems it is not possible in the latest version of Seismo. 2- Also, i know rigid links can be made using the Constraints-Rigid link module.but i'm not sure whether i'm doing it right or ...

Re: BRBF Model

Hi In response to this question, i'd like to mention that BRBFs should be modeled using "Truss Element Class" and there are some specific modifications that should be taken into account in Defining the material properties.Researchers might find the following article useful: "Component Testing, Stabi...

Units Selector

Dear SeismoTeam
there seem to be an error in the Rebar Typology.
when the user changes the rebar typology from European Sizes to US Sizes, the confirm message appears :For Example:Eurpean sizes: 20mm<.....>US Sizes: 8 in.
Which will be 20 "cm"=8 in

Thanks

Re: How can I get the Sa(T1,5%) from base shear ?

Hi MADU
you can not obtain Sa(T1) directly from the software.but this can be gained by post processing in Excel. Please find attached one of my project files.
BEST OF LUCK

Re: PushOver: problem with steel structure

Hi LuCanic yeah,i have done time-history analysis. 1.are you verifying any special experiment?if so,there could some other reasons apart from eccentricity(i'd rather call it "initial imperfection"!)regarding imperfection pls take a look at 7/28 pdf paging in the following paper) 2.what damping are y...

Re: PushOver: problem with steel structure

Dear LuCanic based on experimental formula,L(brace)/300, the 11 mm value is absolutely reasonable. 1.did you do an eigenvalue analysis to check if the model is ok? 2.how did you define the imperfection(eccentricities),naturally you should define the node using "structural node"? 2.please fined attac...
