Re: Additional Rebar in Slabs

Dear Dim.Anast, As it is written in SeismoStruct's User Manual and in case you use the Building Modeller facility: "The slab modelling is carried out with rigid diaphragms; hence, a rigid slab is implicitly considered in the structural configuration, which is the case for the vast majority of R...

Re: Pushover Analysis Error

Dear obaidullah khan,

Please check the connectivity of the added walls with your model and the walls' support conditions.

Re: Pushover Analysis Error

Dear obaidullah khan »,

If you carry out a search in this Forum on "could not re-orthogonalise all Lanczos vectors" you will find posts with hints on this issue.

Re: Extract Axial Forces

Dear Christine23,

After running the pushover analysis, you should select the "Show Results" button, in order for you to be able to check the results of the pushover analysis.

Re: Extract Axial Forces

Dear Christine23,

You may run the pushover analysis, go to the post-processor, i.e. Show results area, and check the values you are interested in for Output No.1 Load Factor: 0.00, where only the static loads are applied.

Re: unable to achieve the eigenvalue problem- result is the imaginary or null

Dear erdemck,

You should check for the correct modelling and if you have connected all the members properly in your model.

Re: Custom section

Dear nuttaphon.B,

Yes, that's right. The minimum grid step that you may use is 1cm.

Re: Custom section

Dear nuttaphon.B,

The Unit in custom sections is centimetres when SI units are selected and inches for imperial units. You may modify the grid step by selecting the Edit Grid Step button, available on the right side of the define custom section window.

Re: Nonlinear behavior of 'rack' element class

Dear nuttaphon.B,

You may use the rackH element type and assign a very low stiffness value to the pinned end.

Re: Nonlinear behavior of 'rack' element class

Dear nuttaphon.B,

Rack element has no fiber section.
In rackH element you may define moment rotation curves at the ends, but there is no interaction between the bending moments at the two local axes.
