fling effect

Post by beiraghii@yahoo.com »

HI
I used a record with Fling effect in the SeismoSignal, but in the displacement history the fling effect does not exist. What should I do, pleas?
Thanks.

Could you elaborate on this question? It is not clear. Perhaps you corrected and already corrected accelerogram?

Dear Huffte
we expect that some records show constant displacement in time history, but I dont see that in the displacement TH from the results. ( I dont allow the software to do baseline correction. I have got the records from PEER database like Chi-Chi event, station: TCU052.) Thanks

Can you send the accelerogram? If not, from which station(s) and earthquake(s) are you using records? The following reference may help as well - processing of ground motions can remove some or all of the fling. Maybe you are using Chi-Chi TCU067?
