Hi
Does Seimosignal work only for ground acceleration as input to calculate Fourier Amplitude?
I want to get "Fourier Amplitude of Base Shear". should I use the time history of base shear (obtained from my structural model) as input? what about the units? thanks.
Fourier Amplitude of Base Shear
Re: Fourier Amplitude of Base Shear
Hi beiraghii,
Yes, you can carry out Fourirer Analysis on the time-history of any given quantity (accelerations, displacements, forces, etc).
For what concerns the Fourier Amplitude units (and if these are really important for you, normally they are not), you can search this Forum for "Fourier units" and find some pertinent past posts.
Best,
Rui
