Hi,
I am using SeismoStruct for modeling infill walls. I have already asked few problems regarding the infill model and the support provided by the forum and Seismosoft member is appreciable.
I am running the analysis, but it gives the error "Unable to apply entire load" or "Range Check Error"
If I run the model without infill element, there is no error.
If I run with infill but using the Area 2= 70% of Area 1 then it runs, but as soon as I increase it to 80% it gives RANGE CHECK ERROR.
If I further increase to 90% or 100% it gives error UNABLE TO APPLY ENTIRE LOAD
Thank you for the help

Re: UNABLE TO APPLY ENTIRE LOAD or RANGE CHECK ERROR
From your description, it seems that the structure cannot support the weight of infill panel.
However, the range check error should not occur. Can you please send us your model at support@seismosoft.com?
Thanks,

UNABLE TO APPLY ENTIRE LOAD or RANGE CHECK ERROR
Hi,
I'm modelling 15 story, 5 bay steel moment frame in seismostruct app. I want to run a dynamic time-history analysis for it. I modeled all the parameter and when I run for process, I get the error "Unable to apply the entire permanent load. Analysis terminated".
Also I modeled a 5 story, 5 bay and a 10 story, 5 bay and run it successfully. So I have problem just with this one.
and also I change section 100%, but I got to this error:
" Analysis 1
Scaling Factor: 0.1
-----------------------------------------
Permanent Loading
-----------------------------------------
LF= 0.00000, LF_incr= (Iter: 1 => Max_Tol)
LF= 0.00000, LF_incr= (Iter: 1 => Max_Tol)
LF= 0.00000, LF_incr= (Iter: 1 => Max_Tol)
LF= 0.00000, LF_incr= (Iter: 1 => Max_Tol)
-----------------------------------------
Unable to apply the entire permanent load. Analysis terminated
Total Analysis Time: 0h:0min:1sec"
Can you help me with my issue?
Sincerely
MDmori

Re: UNABLE TO APPLY ENTIRE LOAD or RANGE CHECK ERROR
Hi,
I read a lot of subjects here and sent my modeling file to your email. I multiplied frame sections area by 2 and again I get the error that I said before. Can you give me a clue about my problem? Can you see it if there's any problem with it?
Thanks for your help.

Re: UNABLE TO APPLY ENTIRE LOAD or RANGE CHECK ERROR
Dear Mdmori,
Have you checked your elements connectivity? If you are sure that your model is correct, i.e. sections, project settings, restraints, constraint, loads, etc., then maybe an element or some elements are not properly connected. I would suggest you to run an eigenvalue analysis first in order to check if all parts of the structure are correctly connected.

Dear Zoi
You were right. The problem was in element conectivity. Some parts of elements conection was damaged during incremenation.
Thanks for your help.
