Initial Moments

Post by newman »

When I run a RC model under a time history with NTHA in Seismostruct, the graph for column (figure as follow) show to me a zero value for t=0 sec, but, I think it is not true, because, the frame is under its vertical loads too. Why this happened?

Dear newman,

Unfortunately, I cannot view the image. Is the initial moment equal to zero in both local axes? Is your frame symmetric?

Please right-click on the image, "copy link image" and paste it on a new webpage.
Yes, the frame is symetric and the moments in both directions strat from zero value.
