f'cc

Post by Ahil_Anand »

I want to determine f'cc for a RC section based on SeismoStruct calculation. In the section tab, the confinement coefficient is reported (Assume K). Is this right? :
f'cc=K*f'c

As noted in the SeismoStruct Help system under "Materials" --> "Mander":

"The confinement factor employed by this material type is a constant confinement factor. It is defined as the ratio between the confined and unconfined compressive stress of the concrete, and used to scale up the stress strain relationship throughout the entire strain range. . ."
