Combination between FRP and steel material

Hi,every one
I wander if l want make a combination between FRP bars and steel stirrups in column section as example and if i want lmplement this connection how can i model it taken in consideration the location of plastic hinges

You can model the section of the column with any meterial type for the reinforcement. For more details, refer to the following video on how to create a simple model:

For the location and length of the plastic hinge, refer to the Element Classes module and the corresponding help files.

What i meant if i want model a section with longitudinal frp bars and transverse steel stirrups , the material that assigned for the section is one for whole section (longitudinal and transverse reinforcement )
I wish i clear my point and if there are misunderstood from me explain it

Dear Saramogahed,

You may deselect the "Automatic Calculation of Confinenement Factors" check-box in the "Sections Characteristics" tab and assign the proper value of the confinement factor for the steel stirrups or calculate it with the help of the "Confinement Factor Calculation" module.
