What was the bug exactly in the previous version? (7.0.5)

Post by bavafa612006 »

Dears,

As you mentioned in the version 7.0.6 an important bug in the stiffness proportional damping was fixed. I would like to know what was that bug exactly? as I had used previous version as well as the stiffness proportional damping (tangent stiffness) for damping, it is critical to me to know more about that. I have run one of my analysis and check the result to compare between 2 last version, observed some differences in the results.
I am looking for your reply
Thanks

Hi bavafa612006,

The element stiffness matrix that was employed for the calculated of the stiffness proportional damping had by mistake the EI2 and EI3 values inverted (i.e. the one was used in the place of the other). Renewed apologies for this bug, we hope that we did not cause too much trouble.
